Is this normal

Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this?

I have been on 50mg of peroxatine for a few years. I have been feeling terrible for the last 24 hours and have realised I have forgotten to take my meds for at least 3, possibly 5 days. A combination of fractured elbow, relationship breakdown, dreadful cold have just meant I've been a mess and totally forgot.

So I've taken my normal dose today (No idea if that was the right this to do) but I have ben absolutely starving all day, horrific headache, lethargic, woozy, a bit generally spaced out. I'm guessing I'm in some sort of withdrawal, judging by my dreams last night. Are they pretty normal symptoms? Will they go away? I have to go to my brothers for the weekend tomorrow with DD and I don't think I can face it feeling like this.

Any advice gratefully received.

Yes.

You'll probably be fine tomorrow.

You will almost certainly be alright tomorrow but you can take a pain killer for your headache. Try and get some sleep, easier said than done I know.

I'm sorry you've had such a hard time recently.

I feel like shit when I haven't taken my paroxetine even the next day. I think it has quite a short life in terms of being in your system, so once you've not taken it regularly for a day or so you'll really start to feel withdrawal. Other SSRIs will stay in the system longer.

Hope you feel better tomorrow Thanks

And keep taking it.

Normal, yes. The symptoms will subside shortly, now that you are back on them although the mood swings might be interesting.
