Hi @Shepherdspieisminging I understand your post completely, you're not being too harsh, I promise Smile

I just find writing stuff down here helps me blow off some steam.

I know. My DP is really getting on at me big time, he's taken my card already, and given me £40 for the week. He's really, really pissed off at me, understandably. And the smoking, he's really angry with the smoking and the drinking. Again, understandably.

I think I'm just in denial. I sometimes think no there's nothing wrong, and just then I was thinking about getting a credit card and just going to the airport. I don't have a passport thank goodness or a credit card, but it had crossed my mind tonight, which now has frightened me a wee bit.

It's not just stuff I'll buy for myself either, I'd spend my money on other people without a second thought, and my DC. My Auntie used to be the exact same apparently. I never met her. Like I said on the other thread she killed herself in a psychiatric hospital. No one told me what was wrong with her, just that she drunk like a fish. And I thought well, you don't just get sectioned for drinking too much Hmm

No not yet, just the 'bipolar spectrum' although my therapist thinks it's either type 1 or 2.

OP posts:
BippityBoppity87 · 17/12/2018 20:22

I don't think it's type 1, I reckon it's probably type 2, if I had to guess.

The meds are going ok, I'm taking aripiprazole at night now, as it was making me feel quite tired during the day. Still don't know if it's working or not.

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 08:09

I feel really unwell today Sad I was sick yesterday, was sick during the night. Is this normal on the two different meds?

OP posts:
BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 08:27

I'm contemplating going home as I'm at work, but because I've been off quite a few times this year already, I might get an attendance review for it.

DiaryofWimpyMum · 18/12/2018 08:29

I find some of the meds can make me feel a bit sick but I'm usually not sick, I just feel it. What is the other med you're on? Do you have work today? I hope you feel better soon

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 08:31

Yeah I'm at work now. Sertraline in the morning, aripiprazole at night. I feel like I'm going to be sick now. I changed it to taking aripiprazole at night, so I don't know if it's that.

OP posts:
BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 08:35

And I didn't eat a lot yesterday.

OP posts:
DiaryofWimpyMum · 18/12/2018 09:06

It might be your body adjusting to the change and if you've not ate a lot it can make you feel sickly. I used to find sertraline quite hard on the tummy. Can you try eat something and see if you feel a bit better?

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 09:17

I've eaten something and I feel a lot better. Just feel tired now! Had about 3 hours sleep.

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 09:18

My own fault as I was up at half 4 yeasterday and I thought right, I'll definitely be able to sleep. Didn't get to bed until about half 11, then was sick during the night and up at half 4 again this morning.

OP posts:
DiaryofWimpyMum · 18/12/2018 09:34

I'm the same with sleeping. I watch TV in bed at night and usually fall asleep around 10/11pm but I'm back up at 1/2am then again around 5/6am then I have to wake ds for school at 8am. It's so cold and dark in the mornings too, I really struggle with feeling tired all the time.

Glad you feel a bit better. I hope you can get some rest when you finish today. On the good news front my PIP went in so Christmas has been saved and Tesco will be dropping my shopping in today! 🎉🎈

tierraJ · 18/12/2018 09:40

I wasn't feeling well yesterday- when I get stressed I get Psychosis symptoms which is part of the schizo affective disorder.

So I phoned the cmht & the CPN was really good, he basically said I'm probably not relapsing just need to relax & symptoms should go away.

The problem is the everyday life stresses me out- just getting a shower, feeding the cat, being on time for things etc!

Anyway I feel better today & going to the gym.

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 11:25

I feel so much better @DiaryofWimpyMum I don't feel sick anymore. Eating definitely helped and I don't feel as tired. I had a couple of coffees!

That's good, glad it went well Smile enjoy your shopping Grin

Hope you're feeling better @tierraJ I can get myself stressed out too much too, especially when I take on too many tasks at once.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself! I’ve just been diagnosed as bipolar and started taking quetiapine last night. I’m feeling pretty awful today after it and struggled to stay awake at work. My life has been very chaotic for a long time now and I just want some stability. I’ve read through most of this thread and I feel less alone now, knowing that others have similar difficulties to me! X

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 15:47

Hi Ellalovescake Welcome Smile I know, I feel the same. Makes me feel less alone. I hate to tell anyone I'm taking anti psychotics as it sounds worse than it is if they don't know. I'm only on a very low dose at the moment though.

I bought that pill box btw. It works for me. It's small enough that it's quite discreet and I just put it on the side where I can see it, so I do remember to take it. Better than 3 different packets sprawled everywhere. Plus it's small enough that I can put it in my bag if need be. It has a mirror inside it too no idea why it has a mirror

How long will I have to take these meds for? I never thought to ask and I don't have an appointment for another 5 weeks. Currently been on sertraline already for 7 months. Is it life long thing? Can I eventually come off them?

How long has/had everyone else taken their meds for?

Hi angandbaby - can you phone the crisis team or community mental health team for a chat?

BippityBoppity87 · 18/12/2018 19:51

I think that's a good idea. Or ring the gp tomorrow morning for an emergency appointment?
