Will the doctor be annoyed?

I know this may sound irrational, but I suffer anxiety! Basically, a few months ago I was put on sertraline 50mg. It was causing me insomnia which was making my anxiety worse, so I stopped taking it and then was put on trazodone last month by GP.

However, I only took one trazodone and found I didn't like the sedating effect as it made me feel groggy all the time. So I decided to start again on the sertraline I had left over. It took me a month to get another appointment with the GP which is this week.

Basically, I'm a bit worried that if I tell them this they will think I'm messing them about or trying to access trazodone for negative purposes! My anxiety is worried that they won't give me sertraline again.. I know how ridiculous this sounds, just had to get it off my chest

Hay
Your GP can't be annoyed at you or tell you off, they will see people stopping medication all the time (unfortunately).
Obviously when taking medication you should always talk to your doctor before stopping or changing medication. Depending on how old your little one is you should be able to get a rushed appointment or a phone appointment should be available. Mental health can also be considered an emergency if it is affecting your day to day life (not only if your suicidal) so you could always get a same day appointment if you talk to the receptionist. But again GP's should be someone you can talk to and understanding of your honest with them.
All the best
