Missing a few doses of sertraline...?

Hi.
I began taking sertraline about 6 weeks ago.
I have my second medication review with my gp next week.
I thought I had enough tablets to last me until then, but I must've miscalculated and ran out yesterday.
I rang my surgery who suggested I called my pharmacy and ask them to put through an urgent prescription request.
I went to collect it today and discovered their systems have been down a couple of times so the prescription was never put through.
My surgery said it might be ready Monday.
I'm concerned having no sertraline for this long might leave me back to square one and have my symptoms return.
I wondered if anyone might have any insight on the effects of missing doses for a few days?

Thanks x

I'd be pushing your doctors if it was me - I understood it had a pretty short half-life and I was warned that missing a day's dose would put you back a week. I tried to taper down a few months ago and it was a nightmare. Do you have any left that you could perhaps split over the days?

Sorry, I've just seen that you've run out completely. I'd definitely ask your doctors then, surely a GP can just write a prescription by hand?

I think their issue is they're back logged with prescriptions because of the systems failures.
Not my problem, and poor service, granted.
I left a few tablets at my parents' house as I go to visit for the weekend with my little one every couple of weeks. I'll go over tomorrow and get them. That should see me through until my gp appointment.

Thanks x
