Dd anxiety causing bad nausea

Dd has recently started her A levels at a new college and has developed anxiety in the last week. Despite her saying all is fine at college.
She has spoken to student services who are going to arrange counselling and we have a GP appointment in a few days. However the worst bit for her is the nausea in the mornings. Yesterday she had a small drink of apple juice as that was all she could stomach for breakfast but she was then sick and brought that back up.
So this morning she's even worse as she knows now that she can be sick.
Is there anything we can do to ease the nausea?

DC used to suffer with nausea caused by anxiety about exams - obviously treating the anxiety is key but as you say you are waiting for help with that

We tried various things but a couple in particular helped - one is rich tea biscuits - sounds a bit of an old wives tale but DC had some in a biscuit barrel by his bed and would eat a couple before bed, then a couple more on waking in the morning, before getting up etc. It's just something plain to stop that 'empty stomach' nausea that can build up and make it worse.

The second which worked was a similar idea but with Tums (antacid tablets). DC took a couple before bed and then the next morning would sometimes not need any the next day because they seemed to settle his stomach overnight.

He also has mints on him all the time and just knowing they're in his bag should he start to feel a bit icky helped too.

I don't know how much of it was a placebo effect but it definitely helped Flowers

Thank you.
She had a retching episode before she left this morning but as she hadn't eaten nothing came up. But this actually made her feel better.
I have got rescue remedy lozenges for her and she had one of those on the bus and said she felt it did help.
Just need to get her out of the vicious circle of now feeling anxious because she's worried she'll be sick on the college bus.
She does carry polos with her too as sucking those do seem to help also.
I've been through most of this before with ds and he's now on Sertraline. But we have the added trouble with dd that she can't take tablets of any sort so that's not going to be an option for her.

I find sour green apples help when my anxiety makes me nauseated. Don't know why but I think the sour juiciness just sort of freshens my mouth. Sipping ice cold water also helps, and when I was pregnant I discovered Nairns stem ginger breakfast biscuits really helped. Even now I'm no longer pregnant, nibbling on them when the anxiety nausea is bad helps to settle it. I find that my anxiety (and therefore the nausea) gets worse when I'm either dehydrated or hungry so I tend to use apples, cold water and ginger biscuits to get something into me, and then I typically find that I start feeling better and can stomach something more substantial.
Does she get the bus by herself, if so maybe a funny podcast or audiobook to help distract her a bit?

Why can't she take tablets?
