what does it mean when your skin jangles / buzzes?

When I'm triggered (ie when my psych/emotional issues are triggered) my skin feels like it jangles. I think it's similar to what the character Camille describes in the book Sharp Objects when she says her skin buzzes. She responds with self harm, I don't but I can relate to the character.
Does this have a name and is it linked to anything specific? Do you get this?
It's intrusive and unpleasant. I'd like to resolve if possible, but can't find any help or information. Google and therapist have not given me any decent pointers.
thanks

yes that was the only thing I could find too. I guess it fits with anxiety, as it happens when I'm triggered, even though I don't feel actually anxious at the time.
I want it to have a name and a research paper I can read - something a bit scientific. At the moment I just feel like a wierdo who can't manage a cuddle.
does anyone else get this?
