Just read that "Normal people " have a sudden change of mood about twice a week . My mood is constantly changing , I can go from happy to miserable to angry to stressed many times in a day .
I also have intense emotions: I cry , easily , blush easily , get angry easily .
I'm starting to think I have borderline personality disorder after reading about it and am a bit scared .
I'm not impulsive though nor do I engage in destructive behaviours
Any thoughts ?

I do too & most people in my life don't know - I know I can seem emotional or intense sometimes but I am functional & living. The fear really is not knowing what to expect, but you've been living with this for longer than you knew! That's positive

Hello lovely,

Don't be scared we are all human!
I have Cyclothymia you probably haven't heard of it however in response to your post I'd say if it's bothering you book up for a doctors appointment and air any concerns,
There are many many mood disorders and getting a diagnosis can be a lengthy process.

I have borderline personality disorder and intense emotions are only part of it. I have extreme black and white/ right and wrong thinking. Have low self esteem and a confused view of myself and my identity that changes dependent on who I am with. I am quite codependant and need reassurance that my OH, family and friends love me as I have a fear of being abandoned. I also have this numb empty feeling in my chest which is very common with BPD sufferers. I'm not sure the exact criteria but I'm sure you need 4 or more characteristics for a formal diagnosis.
Speak to your GP and they will refer you to a psychiatrist who can give you a diagnosis. BPD is a daunting diagnosis but with the right treatment and support it's not the end of the world x
