Does anyone with mostly high anxiety have any problems with there mouth?

I know it sounds strange, but since about 2011 my last bad episode of anxiety turning into depression I’ve suffered from a sore tongue. It’s horrible and just recent last few months my gums/teeth can some days constantly have a dull ache

I avoid putting my tongue near my inside teeth, the feeling I get
Get me down

Consultant wanted to give me nortriptyline, I’m already on venlafaxine slow release 150mg and didn’t want another AD

Anyone else with this unusual problem

I imagine you’re teeth grinding or clenching your jaw. I know I do and I’ve had episodes of anxiety for the last ten or so years. I think a mouth guard from the dentist can help but I’ve always been too embarrassed to ask

Spoke to dentist asked him to look at my inside gums, he said they look fine .

Don’t think I grind my teeth, as I sleep/ breathe through mouth open when sleeping.

6 years now off this, I’m trying to monitor if it’s when I’m anxious, but today after it felt really sore I took another 1.25mg = 2.5mg for today and it’s still here.
Drastically thinking it’s venlafaxine?

Funnily enough I've had a really sore tongue for about a week! I take Citaloptal and Propanalol. Been on the same dose of both for a couple of months. However I'm having therapy at the moment and feeling worse.

I haven't changed my dental hygiene routine so I'm now wondering if it could be anxiety related

Have you had your iron and b12 checked? A deficiency can cause a sore tongue.
