I've a thread on relationships titled "I desperately need help" detailing my behaviour, was at doctor this morning and was prescribed setraline
I'm too scared to take it, my mood isn't low and the side effects sound worse than what I'm going though
Could St Johns Wort be an option?

Hello OP, we are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

Do take care won't you?

Perhaps mention to your doc about getting a script for melatonin. It helped me for a while.

Honestly, take the pills and see how they go. Major side effects from drugs are exceedingly rare, but they have to list all the side effects, which makes everything sound awful. I take sertraline, and don't have any side effects at all.
