Hi,
I would urgently like advice, I’ve suffered with a nervous breakdown 8 years ago. Was well 3 years ago but again very unwell with depression again.
I was very out of control on Monday with suicidal thoughts and ended up seeing the rapid response team. Spoke to a Psychiatrist nurse, then sent me away and said will write.
I been on lots of antidepressants but not see a change.
GP said to start propranolol slow release 80mg as I had such bad side effects on Venlafaxine so stopped that and replaced by the beta blockers.
I’m so lost as no Mental Health or GP are helping.
Can anyone suggest what to do besides to to Hospital as the only send me to Mental Health again going in circles!
Has anyone been suicidal and used Homopathic that worked?
I’m always scared and can’t stay on my own.
Not normal

Look forward to any suggestions

Hi
I've not been where you are, but many have. Can you go back to your gp?

I know of someone who decided to move to a small village where the pace of life is much more friendly, and the support from the health care system is much more personal, plus there being friendly groups to join (both hobbies and support-groups related to the disease) and that seems to have worked for this person.

Where do you live (type of town)? Are the surroundings stressful? A friendly environment will certainly be more helpful, everything else equal.

My dad took propranolol and a bunch of other pills. I have no personal experience in any of those medicines, though, only from observation of others.

Are there things in your current life that triggered it? Stressful job, financial problems, relationship issues? Anything you need to change/remove yourself from? My colleague suffers from depression but doesn't connect the dots that her boyfriend's behaviour is her major cause of stress and she also applied (and got) a pressurised, demanding job which doesn't suit her skills or needs.
Best of luck and I hope you've found help. Thanks

Thank you for your suggestion, but been going back to and from and going in circles and only given lorazepam.

I’m not financially in any position to move as this illness has put me jobless and on benefits.
3 years ago I was very well, and able to go aboard on my own to travelling and work.
But all sudden a year and a half I couldn’t sleep and spiralled down. Couldn’t hold a job, my ex ended up abusive. And now I can’t do basic things.
I’m not living if you understand what I mean.
Friends and family distance them self as don’t understand the illness/depression!
I’m just stuck not getting out of bed etc
No help from Mental Health, assessed and sent me away. No new medication.
Totally no self esteem or confidence.
I’m confused that I was so well, now not wanting to live!
Keep on thinking do I have bipolar but they say no, but this is not the first time it happened. Can’t remember how I got well.
I’ve tried CBT Councelling but didn’t seem to help.
Just want to know if any one is on a medication that really helps or what can I do to get proper help, seems that I have to do something bad before proper help.

Try to find a support group related to your disease, one that arranges meetups you can attend. Don't think medicine is the ultimate solution.

Do you recommend a organisation?

No, you have to ask your GP or check if there's something in the vicinity. If you're s member of a church they might have something.
