Hi my partner who is normally energetic, overall hyperactive, funny and useally the more stronger one of us is showi g sighns of depression

He said he feels like his hands army attached to his body. He can't concentrate. He can't drive. He cried I work today because me and his mum were both talking at the same time. He said he feels nervous about going outside and see g people.

It's out of no where, I've asked him if he feels suicidal he said no. I've asked him if he is happy with our life he said yes.

He is sleeping a lot. It seems worse when he just wakes up.

We have such a great life, we've not long bought our home, have an incredible little girl who is the light of our lives.

We are struggling with money quite a bit, but not anonymously. He said earlier don't worry about us. It's nothing to do with us I love you more than anything. Which gives me hope.

But I just don't no what to do we went the doctors and she prescribed him anti depressants but they don't work until a week.

He hardly talks and when he does its slow and he can't make sense

He's gone from such a happy person to this anxious low person. I just don't no what to do!!

Sounds like me, my husband took a week off work during my first week of meds as I could barely get off the sofa, cried all the time and couldn't leave the house.
Oh and I wasn't suicidal but I did have intrusive thoughts, some of which were suicidal.
I also had a similar thing to the hands, the first night of the start of my "break" as I call it nothing felt real and I had to go to hospital just to be around people I didn't know so the world would feel real. It was weird.

It sounds like nervous breakdown to me, there are fantastic free audios that really help with this online. Claire weekes, free audios. Think there's a series of four, her work is amazing, she's passed away now but still to this day many approaches are based on it.
