I've had mental health problems for a number of years. Until recently spent the past couple of years mainly in bed. The past few months I have been doing more with a lot of support but I just don't feel I can carry it on. It's all to much, the only thing that keeps me going is my son.
I have also run out of my anti anxiety medicine which is probably not helping hope to be able to pick up on Saturday, but can't face going out to get them on my own.
I've sh'ed today but it's not enough I just can't cope.

Thanks for the links and numbers, I will try to call someone tonight or the CPN tomorrow, I am exhausted tonight just wish my head would shut up. I do listen to music through headphones if I can't sleep as that can sometimes help.

I use an app called Thrive which helps me quite a lot, I'm learning to meditate using it.

mrsbounceisflat · 18/12/2017 22:20

I use the headspace app for mindfulness, haven't used it in a few days though because I'm in self destruct mode. Taken my sleeping tablets now so I hope for a good nights sleep. Thanks for listening.

I just wanted to reply and let you know that you are cared for, not only by your family but as as a person in this world. I too have suffered severely from depression and anxiety so appreciate your current thought processes. Please try and remember that your thoughts are symptoms of your illness and not a true reflection on reality. Speak to your CPN and tell her exactly how it is, you can then receive more support, there is no shame in admitting that for now you could do with a little more input. Remember you have 100% success in getting through things so far - you will make it through to better days. If your current cpn feels too familiar due to knowing her for so long then ask to be allocated a different one, sometimes a fresh relationship can reevaluate things and help. Sending you heartfelt good wishes, keep on keeping on xx

I love all that you just said SIB.

mrsbounceisflat · 19/12/2017 13:07

Thanks sib. Hopefully I had the worst of it last night. I slept well and have slept all morning. I feel exhausted. I'm not sure how I got through yesterday evening but I survived and it's thanks to people on here.
I will have a good honest chat with the CPN tomorrow and just take each day or even each hour as it comes.

Well done mrsbounce for getting through the worst and hope tomorrow helps put you back on track and hopefully more than that, on the road to recovery.
Sending you lots of love

mrsbounceisflat · 19/12/2017 22:16

How've the last couple of days been mrsb?

mrsbounceisflat · 22/12/2017 22:43

Slightly hyper, but much better on the whole. MIL comes for Christmas tomorrow, staying until Wednesday. The house is still a tip, presents still to be wrapped and it all falls on my husband. Went to the hospital to get my arm sorted out because looked infected and hurts like hell, guess I'll be going back.
How are you getting on with the citalopram, are the side effects settling down?

OP posts:
CheckpointCharlie2 · 23/12/2017 00:52

Side effects mainly gone now thank goodness, thanks for asking! Have you got anti bios for your arm? Sounds sore. Is MIL a goodie?hope so and she helps rather than hinders? Keep on going.

mrsbounceisflat · 23/12/2017 12:31

MIL is a goodie, thankfully. My arm is still very sore I've just changed the dressing and resisted making it worse. It looks a tiny bit better than yesterday, so no need for antibiotics yet. Hadn't realised the dressing needed changing daily, so will have to go to the chemist to get some more.

CheckpointCharlie2 · 24/12/2017 07:41

Oh good, my late MIL was not a goodie...
Hope your arm heals up over the next couple of days too.

I was talking to a friend about citalopram last night, it's amazing how many people take it actually, she's been on it for a couple of years and I didn't know. I'm considering asking my gp if I can go up to 20mg as I'm not sure 10 is really doing much.

Is your ds excited about Christmas!? My two dds are beside themselves!

mrsbounceisflat · 24/12/2017 12:00

My ds is 14 so not as excited as he used to be. It sounds lovely sharing the excitement with your girls.
Once you start talking about mental health it's amazing the number of people who struggle or who have struggled with it. Even my dh is in long term anti depressants and can't see him coming off them.

CheckpointCharlie2 · 24/12/2017 23:40

Haha my oldest dd is 15 and has just been santa so is all excited!

Hope you have a lovely day tomorrow.
And YY my DH has had some issues too, it seems like most people have some kind of thing..

mrsbounceisflat · 25/12/2017 17:09

Merry Christmas checkpoint, hope you're having a good day. I had a serious wobble yesterday, but phoned a support line and they were really helpful. Back on track today and everything gone as planned, so that's good.

Ah well done for calling, that's brilliant, glad your day went well. Ours was pretty chilled and low key and we have been on a long walk today and then chilled again so nice day! Am still having all my anxiety symptoms so I think,I am going to try to see my doctor again to up it and see if that helps, hopefully it won't make me feel sick again!

Have a nice evening, gutted the darts isn't on tonight!

mrsbounceisflat · 27/12/2017 22:11

Definitely go back to the gp if your still feeling anxious, try not to worry too much about the side effects as they shouldn't last long and the benefits of the right medication are huge.

ChickenDinnerChecky · 27/12/2017 23:49

Yes I think I will, I tried today but gp not in till next week. Thanks! Am waiting to feel something more positive, I do feel more relaxed but that's probably just being off work!

mrsbounceisflat · 03/01/2018 21:14

Hope you've managed to get to see your GP
