I could really do with some advice with regards to blushing and my my anxiety. It particularly affects me at work. It happens a lot at work and I am so embarrassed by it. It seems to happen more with certain people and has become a pattern. I even feel like leaving my job because of it.
I also have generalised anxiety disorder.
Is there anything I can do to help with this? Medication or therapy?
Thank you so much xx

Hi!
I used to blush constantly in the workplace and I believe it was anxiety related, I remember having this from being in school. For me I just used to tell myself I didn't care if I blush, what difference does it make if my cheeks change colour, if anyone asks I'll just say I get hot flushes and laugh it off.

Maybe try accepting it and that could be how you overcome it, try not to care if you blush, I eventually forgot I used to do it. And just think there is a lot worse things than blushing, people have so many personal things that they find embarrassing going on but we just don't always see it. If it's making you want to quit your job just tell yourself it doesn't matter if you blush, don't let it beat you!

I really hope this helps in some way, sending support Flowers

i think ive read that propranolol can help? not sure

i used to blush all the time in high school. i sort of grew out of it, mainly by telling myself “i dont give a f**k” Blush. as a teen/early 20s that helped. i faked it till i made it, as they say.

im on sertraline now, and have taken other SSRIs, and one side affect to me is that it makes me more chatty/confident, and i cant remember the last time i blushed.
