I know it is wrong to feel this low, but I do

It's nearly my birthday and I'm just reflecting and feeling so low.

I feel (want to stress the feel - not saying it's true or that I'm going to do anything) like there is nothing for me, like life is kind of over and nothing is going to be any good.

I wish there was a pill I could take and all the suffering would be gone.

I'm really sorry you are struggling right now daisy. Please don't think it's 'wrong' to feel the way you do. It's how you feel right now and while unpleasant it isn't wrong. It just is.

Do you have a history of depression or is this new to you?

It's not wrong to feel the way you do. Have you been to see your GP? For me antidepressants were the pill that made it all go away, not instantly, but over a few weeks. They savef my life.

I really don't like them. They just seem to work by making me completely numb to everything.

Also I think there's an element of feeling depressed because my life just is a bit rubbish right now, rather than suffering from depression as such.

Have you tried different types of ADs? Not everyone gets on with all of them. I've never felt numb on them (though the depression itself has made me pretty numb)but eveyones different,

What about councelling or cbt? Hou could ask your GP for a referal for these to help you work through the rubbish bits of life.
