Just venting really.
Iv'e been struggling badly to keep my head out of the familiar blackness for a few days now,not coping very well.
Very anxious and stressed as well .
Just when i think i have turned the corner it looms it's ugly head.

Have been fighting back the tears all day and everything seems to have gone wrong.
I can feel myself shutting everything out,if that makes sense?
Work will be a struggle this week.

Dunno what to say.

Just wanted to let you know someone had seen this.

Sending you {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

MG72 · 03/04/2007 21:45

ditto - hope you are ok

have you tried to get any help (not that we aren't!)

PelvicfloornomoreChocolate · 03/04/2007 21:51

Thanks Starfairy.
yes have tried most of the a'd's.
They don't work.
been waiting for nearly a year for treatment with a psychologist,i told my gp i was still waiting and she wrote a letter and magically an appointment came up but i couldn't make it so cancelled and the other one they offered i couldn't make either so i probably wont get seen if i keep turning them down.I had to go out of my area for treatment due to personal issues with my local mental health team.

starfairy · 03/04/2007 21:55

Do go to the next appointment. Have you been to anything like this before?

StrangeTown · 03/04/2007 21:55

Oh Pelvic - I'm so sorry you feel like this. Apologies, I don't know if you have posted before on any of this, but are you on any medication or do you get any help?

I know lots of people have talked about various therapies CBT etc on here - would you consider something like this?

My sister was exactly the same and I did feel (and probably acted) useless. She had medication to help her through the short term and counselling to help her manage her feelings and anxiety attacks longer term.

Hope you get some help and support - even if that is just chatting on here. x

StrangeTown · 03/04/2007 21:56

Sorry x posted am too slow.

PelvicfloornomoreChocolate · 03/04/2007 21:58

Thanks.
No never been to anything like this before, just the assessment with the consultant.

How long have you been dealing with this pelvic?

PelvicfloornomoreChocolate · 03/04/2007 22:05

I have probably been depressed most of my adult life and started with the a'd's about 6/7 years ago but only 'saw'a psychologist last year .

I only work part time and most of the time i find it helps me to focus on something else.
yes i work for NHS so councelling is offered but i dont trust people easily and as it is short term it was agreed it wouldn't be any good for me.
My mood fluctuates so quickly and i am getting very good at playing it down.

Sorry you're feeling sad.

My dp suffers from clinical depression, and more than anything CAT (cognitive analytic therapy) has made a huge difference to him. He had to pay for it in the end, and although we're on a low income, it was really worth every penny. It ended sixth months ago and he said recently that he's used the things he learned every day since.

I used to do a similar job to you(i used to help people with learning disabilities to find jobs and train them/work alongside them), it is hard when you're feeling down as its not something you can do in a halfhearted way - it takes all your mental energy! So, be kind to yourself, lots of people would struggle.

PelvicfloornomoreChocolate · 03/04/2007 22:51

Thanks everyone.
Im not sure that i have any proper friends in real so it is nice to talk to people on here.
I know you understand Dior and from the quick glance i had on your thread the other week you are having additional problems.
