Night time panic/claustrophobia feelings.

Over the last 6ish weeks, I have been waking up suddenly in the small hours, with a horrible feeling of panic, claustrophobia and feeling I can't breathe. I try to remain in my bed, knowing it will pass, but sometimes I have to get up, put the lights on and stand at the open back door until it passes. I had a bit of a quiet freak out on a nighttime long haul flight literary a week or 2 before this started. Has anyone any experience of these feelings and advice on how to deal with them? TIA.

Yes! My best friend was telling me that she was suffering from them too. Weird as I don't normally have any problems sleeping. Don't know what to suggest though, sorry.

I'm having a bath before bed. Switching off my phone and no reading or tv for a while before bed tonight. Hopefully it'll result in a peaceful night's sleep.

Hi Op I have a similar thing in the past few months that I wake around 4am every night and lie awake becoming anxious for around an hour. I'm exhausted Sad
I'm not really sure why it's happening or if it's just a habit or how to get it to stop.
