AIBU to throw all the kitchen stuff in the bin and buy new tomorrow?

I'm really struggling to cope at the moment.
I haven't done any washing up for 2 weeks, am out of all plates, pans and cutlery.
I've managed to do my laundry and dry it but it is in piles, I haven't got around to putting it away. I just pick it up off the floor and wear it then chuck it in the laundry basket.
I'm exhausted. And the kitchen just feels like too big a mountain to climb at the moment - but every meal gets worse.

Excellent. You'll sleep better tonight knowing that they're done and all clean for tomorrow.

I find stacking helpful - I like a nice pile of things. So, all dirty bowls stacked together, all dirty plates etc. Somehow, it appeals to the orderly side of my generally slovenly nature. Then, you just pick one pile of things to wash. It makes a dent and sometimes that's enough.

I feel so much better in myself for having clean hair! It drives me mad when it needs a wash and my scalp is all itchy!
I'll look up the fledglings thread.

And stacking - yes. Now some of the washing up has been done the rest is stacked up properly and I am no longer using the cooker as extra dumping space!
And now I have some clean bowls and forks I've even been able to have a microwave meal and feel better for eating too, even if it is nearly midnight!
Thanks again Flowers

And Backie - don't worry about the grass. I hadn't cut mine for weeks until the weekend. For similar reasons! My neighbour is friendly but she always wants to chat and I don't want to.
So knee high grass because I didn't want to talk to anyone. Meh.

Starting is definitely the hard part.

I find doing "busy breaks" during tv helpful (i.e. quickly tidying while the adverts are on) a good way of getting tidying done without it being a big deal.

Ooh speaking of using the cooker for dishes. Years ago I had a tenancy inspection and true to form I procrastinated until I couldn't leave the cleaning any longer. Loads of dishes so I washed what I could and shoved the rest in the oven. So of course the letting agent decided for the first time ever to look in the oven!! Hmm Blush
