What is it?

I know a fair bit about it and did the Level 1 training. I know it has had fantastic results with many many people. Depends on your issue and also how experienced the practitioner is. I would recommend you look for someone who is Level 2 trained. It is certainly worth a go. It was developed by a very experienced and well regarded hypnotherapy trainer and practitioner, but doesn't use hypnotherapy. It's a hard thing to explain, but it does work, sometimes spectacularly.

Brain Working Recursive Therapy. It is a way of rewiring the brain's responses to trigger situations. Great for phobias, trauma, ingrained responses to situations. Also very good for getting to the root causes of depression. Basically, we face a situation, we respond and the brain is wired to respond in a similar way to another situation which is similar. It is a primitive kind of fight or flight response which is wired into us. BWRT interrupts the response pattern and redirects it so that we don't have the same response to the negative situation. This is a very basic explanation. There's more to it, but hard to describe.

It's something I stumbled across when looking for help Dodie but I'm not clear on exactly what it entails. It seems to be reprogramming your brain.

Is there science behind it crazyhorse? I'm struggling to find much online other than the people who developed it talking about it.

I'm trying to find something to help quickly with my irrational jealousy.

Crazyhorses, is it completely safe? No electrical wires or anything like that? Ok for pregnancy and heart conditions etc ?

Yes it is absolutely and completely safe. No wires! It is about focusing on the feeling and repeating a sequence at high speed. If you have found a practitioner, ask them to explain. They should be very happy to talk to you first about how it works and reassure you. It has been approved by the British Psychological Society. There is absolutely no risk of anything but it not working but i would say irrational jealousy would be a very good one to work on actually. let me know how you get on. No problem with pregnancy or heart conditions. It is not dangerous to health in any way.

You should have a session first focusing on what you want to change and being asked questions about yourself before you start the sessions.
