I have just been prescribed diazepam - don't really know what to expect

I was prescribed these because i am such a wimp when it comes to smear tests so my doctor gave me some, they were 5mg i actually toke 2 then on my way walking to the doctors for my smear i swallowed another one.....

Guess what happened?

The bloody doctor was off sick so i could not have it done, i walked home & felt very dopey, sleepy & a bit dizzy but i was very relaxed, they are fab but 1 never done anything for me!

wow thats good to hear all your exprieances of them....i have 5mg ones and have been given 8 should i take 2 at once tio fly with?

I'm on 10mg four times a day for severe anxiety due to psychosis. I'm definitely dependent on them. I know I need to reduce but it terrifies me.
