That unexplainable feeling of foreboding

I've had this all day yesterday and all today so far. Period is a few days away so might that be it?
I hate it. So distracting and I feel like everything is wrong.
Is anyone else having/had this?

I get it about a week before my period. Everything looks dark and life seems unmanageable.

20mg of Citalopram per day has really helped.

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Oh yes - low-level dread? I frequently feel dready. It's horrible.

Norky1975 · 12/06/2017 15:26

I'm on 10mg citalopram daily for anxiety - it's really helped but today I feel like a stranger in my own home. Horrible.

I started feeling like this last year. It comes and goes but I am now on Citalopram which is helping. It is a horrible feeling. Mindfulness is also helping me and the book mindfulness for dummies is surprisingly good!

I haven.t eaten all day (very unusual for me) and have been bursting into tears
I honestly don't know why .
Just finished period
Hope I wake up in a better mood tomorrow.

I experience this too. Much worse when I'm tired. It's a horrible, nagging feeling, like there is something awful that has happened and I just can't remember what it was.

Is there anything which is proven to help you in these situations, OP? I find a good comedy programme and a really tasty but super healthy dinner helps - I usually go out and spend a fortune on posh fruit and veg, and something like salmon. I do comfort eat but unhealthy food makes me feel awful, guilty and the dread is worse.

I've joked in the past that raspberries are better than drugs for getting my feels back on the right track...

I'm never sure how to cope with it when it happens. It's passing now, but today was bad. Wish I could explain it. Hope you're feeling better

Comps83 that's exactly the same as me! Nearly finished my period and I cannot stop filling up at anything, but feel if I start crying I won't stop! Just had to force my dinner down as well.
OP I'm sure it period related. I've been feeling a low level of impending doom all bloody week.
