I had my first appointment with psychologist yesterday and whilst we were talking I thought I was looking her in the eyes but she said are you aware you were looking past me to the left out of the window. I was convinced I was looking her in the eyes but obviously not. I didn't think much of it at the time and plan to ask her next week when I see her but anyone have any idea why this may of been something of importancre to her?

I suspect she was commenting on your ability to maintain eye contact. I don't know what that could mean though. I see an NLP therapist and eye movements and direction of gaze are quite relevant in this as the theory is we use different eye movements to access memories and imagination. My therapist says when he asks me to think about things he can see my eyes looking at that memory as my gaze will move to a definate spot for each different menory.

Thanks for your reply, maybe that's what she was doing. I'll ask next time I see her but was just curious.
