What the fuck do I do

harderandharder2breathe · 11/05/2017 12:04

If you can phone the GP and explain how you feel they should fit you in or advise you where to go for immediate help

Otherwise go to A&E

It's just as much an emergency as a physical illness

kali110 · 11/05/2017 12:13

Op ring the docs back and tell them this! They should see you.
We're all here for you Flowers
This will pass though, i promise xx

MissisQuigley · 11/05/2017 12:16

Is there anyone you can call who will take you?

Homebirdmama · 11/05/2017 12:16

Please let us know you're ok. Please go to A&E x

MissisQuigley · 11/05/2017 12:18

A&E will help you, I know from personal experience

Dawndonnaagain · 11/05/2017 12:18

Agree with others. A&E. Have been more than once with dd in the last six months and they've been very helpful.
You will get better. Flowers

AtlantaGinandTonic · 11/05/2017 12:27

I'm with PP, please go to A&E or ring 999. They will help. Flowers

MsHooliesCardigan · 11/05/2017 12:33

I am a mental health nurse and I agree about going to A&E. If you went to your GP, that's what they would tell you to do so you would just be wasting time.

SparklyMagpie · 11/05/2017 12:33

Hang on in there op ! Please give A&E a ring, just be honest or I suggest as have other posters to write everything down

You can do this OP, we're all here for you Flowers

FataliePorkman · 11/05/2017 12:38

Dawndonnaagain · 11/05/2017 12:44

Well done for getting there, have you told reception why you're there?

FataliePorkman · 11/05/2017 12:45

Yes. Didn't seem arsed to be fair. Have had an initial assessment by a nurse but got to wait 3 hours to see a doctor

Hello OP,

We are really sorry to hear you are feeling this way.

We hope you don't mind, but when these threads are flagged up to us we usually add a link to our Mental Health resources. You can also go to the Samaritans website, or email them on [email protected]. Support from other Mumsnetters is great and we really hope you will be able to take some comfort from your fellow posters, but as other MNers will tell you, it's really a good idea to seek RL help and support as well.

We also like to remind everyone that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.

We are going to move this thread to the Mental Health section shortly. Flowers

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 11/05/2017 13:36

You're doing great. Get yourself over to A&E as soon as whenever you're ready. It seems a bit overwhelming but they are there to help YOU. They will help you out, just let them know everything that you can think of at the time.

My mum did this exact thing some years ago and they brought the crisis team to her and helped her out.

It will take time but you need to go on the first stepping stone to cross the river.

AtrociousCircumstance · 11/05/2017 13:57

Hang in there OP. Hope the wait isn't too awful.

hungrywalrus · 11/05/2017 14:03

You are stronger than you think. You are valued. This is a temporary feeling which you can recover from. You are doing the best and bravest thing by getting help. It will get better.

FataliePorkman · 11/05/2017 14:42

Saw a doctor. Told crisis team would be in touch by letter within a few weeks. Feel very robbed off

OP posts:
littlefurrysheep · 11/05/2017 14:44

A&E. I've done it - it's worth it. Flowers

littlefurrysheep · 11/05/2017 14:45

Sorry. Just saw your update. Is this the acute mental health team?

hickorydickorynurseryrhyme · 11/05/2017 14:47

Are you taking medication OP? Or did the doc give u any whilst you're waiting for Crisis Team? Hang on in there chuck.
