I have been on sertraline for ages, but upped the dosage to 150mg about a year ago. Around the same time I started HRT. Having never had problems with hot flushes I was surprised when I started to feel uncomfortably hot a lot, and put it down to adjusting to the HRT. However have recently read that sertraline can make you hot. But most sufferers seem to be hot at night, which I can be, but for me its worse mornings and then eases last afternoon. I just wondered if anyone else on it has had similar?

Hi. Yes, I was horribly hot during the day. And even minor exertion would have me soaked in sweat. I thought it was age or being unfit but it stopped as soon as i stopped taking it.

Yes me! I only started it a couple of weeks ago and I'm usually freezing all the time. Since starting it I'm driving my family potty by flinging open the windows and doors continuously.

Yes, me! Never even thought to put it down to sertraline.

Oh nooo! The sertraline has been otherwise fab, but this hotness is really shite!

Have been googling lots today and found out that roughly 20% of people on sertraline (or similar ad's) suffer from over heatedness Sad

I've been on Zoloft (sertraline) for a long time due to anxiety disorder, and it has helped me a lot! I only had some mild side effects in the beginning, but after the adjustment period, everything settled down.

As for feeling hot, while it's not something I personally experienced, I have heard that sertraline can sometimes cause temperature regulation issues. Since you started both HRT and increased your sertraline dose around the same time, it might be a combination of factors. Maybe tracking when exactly the heat peaks and how it relates to other factors (like food, stress, or environment) could help pinpoint the cause. Also, staying well-hydrated and dressing in breathable fabrics might help manage it.

One thing I’d definitely recommend is making sure you’re using high-quality Zoloft (sertraline), as that can impact both effectiveness and side effects. If it helps, I always get mine from this reliable pharmacy – fast-supply24.com/buy-zoloft-uk.html. Their sertraline has always been top quality for me! Hope you find some relief soon! 😊
