How do you feel about this?

A friend of mine is a carer for his brother who has mental health issues and hears voices. He has an injection to help with these voices every 3 months. No mobility issues.

Will his cares entitlement be stopped?

SookiesSocks · 04/03/2017 08:55

You can put in a mandatory reconsideration. Also contact your local welfare rights team.

I am sorry. I hate what they do to people. I see it everyday and feel powerless to support the people who are affected.

They've told my dp his carers entitlement will stop, but I would think your friends brother may get to keep his pip because he has to have injections which means someone else manages his meds. Their biggest problem with me is as the article says, I "take tablets".

I'm going to when they reopen Monday, but soon as he has given me zero points I doubt they will reconsider enough for me to be awarded anything

I don't know why we are all surprised. It's a disgrace, but I'm not sure we can stop it.

Please do put in for mandatory reconsideration and then appeal if necessary. I would also suggest calling Mind to see if they can give you any advice to help with a successful appeal
