Do I need to increase sertraline?

I've been taking sertraline for PTSD for about 4 years
I did come off it once but it did not go well so I'm happy to stay on it forever if needs be

Recently though I've been having episodes of feeling very down, permanent irritation about silly things like people not driving with their full lights on or the way they park and also some hypervigilance

I'm not sure why I'm experiencing these now, do I need to increase the sertraline? Currently on 100mg daily

Evening!I have no experience with this AD mine is with citalopram & fluoxetine.I would imagine that from what you are describing that your dosage isn't enough atm so maybe you need a higher dose.
From what I've gathered on here sometimes users of the same AD's over a long period of time no longer experience their benefits & need to change to an alternative.
It sounds really exhausting for you,you have my sympathy.Flowers
Do you have a review appointment coming up with your GP?

Thank you, I can make an appointment this week.
I don't really want to change as these have been so good up to now. Just wondering if a 150-200mg dose would help and if any other sertraline users have had to increase the dose

Hi. I was on sertraline 100mg for several months for anxiety and OCD. It worked very well but 2 weeks ago I had to increase to 150mg as all my old symptoms were coming back. I haven't noticed much difference so far and the GP said I can go up to 200mg if need be as often your body gets used to the drug and higher doses are needed for the same effect.

Thanks that's good to know, I think I'll try and get an appointment this week and increase them
Also going back to counselling
