Any good natural remedies for anxiety/depression

Any suggestions on natural remedies for anxiety? Want to try and be a bit more calm about things overall and really do not want to take medication from gp if I can help it.

Been having a bit of a rocky time with dd lately which has brought me down a bit (not her fault really - just me coping badly with things). Always had problems with worrying FAR TOO MUCH about everything and over reacting.

So any ideas what I can try? (dont say exercise please!)

Someone posted this on Facebook today and I am really interested to follow up on it and try it. Could be such a simple answer to years of searching for answers, but in a way looks too simple to be true!

There are lots of natural remedies.

Valerian, l-theanine, magnesium, bacalin (skullcap), niacinamide (high dose), ashwagandha, bacopa, gotu kola, holy basil, lemonbalm, 5htp.

Someone posted this ages ago and I have found it really helpful;

Omega 3 fish oils are supposed to be good, either from supplement or oily fish like salmon, bananas have tryptophan, magnesium and potassium so try eating more of those if you like them. Camomile and valerian teas can be relaxing, especially at bedtime. If your not sleeping enough that will add to your symptoms a lot. Also, try not to have too much caffeine, and try to cut down on sugar as this can impact on low mood and anxiety. Any vitamin deficiencies can have an impact, so take a multivitamin and maybe get a blood test at the Drs to check for anaemia or other deficiencies. I've had anxiety for years, and while none of these have cured it, diet and lifestyle changes have had a big impact over time along with taking therapies, and things like mindfulness. Good luck Wink x
