I believe I'm suffering with PND and am seeing my dr next Monday to tell her.

Just wondering what is may be offered and what's available.

Any words much appreciated.

I have experienced PND, as well as PTSD and on top of a long history of depression and anxiety. I found cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) hugely helpful, along with antidepressants to help me get through the day to day. Once the CBT was complete I was able to come off the antidepressants (well, for a time, I'm back on them now due to my anxiety disorder but as I said that's something that's been going on years and a separate problem).

If you do think medication would help, don't be put off if you are breastfeeding as there are safe options for bf mums.

Well done on acknowledging that you are unwell and making an appointment. I know how hard it can be to confront it and talk to others about it. Flowers

Thank you, Sweet.

I'm sorry you're not feeling tip-top, too.

It is very difficult and I'm worried I'm going to turn into a crying mess at my appt. I've not told DP how I feel - I feel guilty and ashamed as it is, without him thinking less of me:(

I'm not breast feeding, so can take any AD - although, side effects are always a concern with me and any drug.
