I was diagnosed about a year ago and am still trying to figure out exactly what I've been labelled with - anyone else?

I work with ladies with BPD (and other 'personality disorders')

This is my diagnosis

What treatment do you have for this fluffydressinggown?

I am currently sectioned as an IP and my treatment here is containment and anti-psychotics.

In community I see my CPN every 2/3 weeks and I do DBT.

I had 2 years of schema therapy for bpd.

I still have what we call "B" days, but less frequently now. I still get recurrent depression, but my borderline symptoms are much reduced.

The Mind website explains it very well.

I have a care coordinator and see doc every 6 weeks and consultant every 12. I had to give up work because I couldn't physically cope.

I take sertraline and anti psychotics. I can't attend any therapy services because I don't have/can't afford childcare so I'm stuck in a rut.

I feel like I'm losing my mind today Sad

Yep! Basically means we cant regulate our own emotions.

I had/have this, but I did an intensive borderline-specific group therapy called STEPPS and I almost pass for normal these days. Just as long as I don't tell anyone how much I'd like to stab them in the face

MissManage · 12/10/2014 13:10

I have been referred for STEPPS and am hoping I can start in the new year, childcare depending.

It IS good.

There's a lot stuff on identifying your negative thought patterns (each one has it's own name) so you can then start to understand your reactions to different situations and manage your emotions a bit better.
