Has anyone heard of this book on bi-polar?

It was featured on woman's hour a few weeks ago. It's written by a woman who was wrongly diagnosed as bipolar. It turned out that she had something else which was successfully treated. Possibly chrohns. I wrote down her name and the title but can't find it. I think she was called Jane or Julia Green? I've tried googling. Could any one recall this?
Thanks.

Not heard of it but very curious as to how crohns could be misdiagnosised as bipolar?!

I may well have got that wrong so please excuse me. I only heard it on wh. It sounds wrong to me too. She did get successful treatment for (one syllable) disease.

I'm fairly sure that the surname was Green(e).

Hyperthyroidism caused by Graves' disease can mimic manic psychosis.

When I was admitted the first time they checked my thyroid function to rule it out.
