Does anyone else go through periods of constant butterflies/nervousness for no Apparent reason? I'm currently getting over a period of anxiety/ depression and am on citalopram. I feel fine mentally, just on edge physically x

Yes all the time. I have to breathe myself through some of it and have started to get flutters at the base of my throat and I can feel my heart racing. It is weird as mentally I am fine and happy but the anxiety has a physical effect

I am just the same Inthewoods. At the moment I feel that I am getting better - 4 months in on Citalopram - but still have days when I feel physically panicked for no good reason.
4 months ago I felt like this all the time but now its only once or twice a week so I know its improving, just wish I could get rid of it all together. On a bad day I feel sick with worry about nothing in particular.
On the plus side it stops me eating so have lost weight and can eat cake on good days without worrying!

That's great Betty - me too, I've lost over a stone since Jan! I just hate feeling nervous about nothing. I had CBT last night and he said we just become really aware of our bodies and 'self scan' looking for problems. I think once we realise we're fine, it will go away. I hope! x

I go through periods of this. I wake up most mornings feeling edgy then is subsides come the evening. But it's draining. I've had CBT which helped really well whilst I was having it but I seem to have lapsed to my old thinking ways. Is Citalapram really good for anxiety? What are the side affects?
