madhouse, I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling low. Don't feel guilty - and don't think that anyone will think you're a bad mother! It's good that you've spoken to your HV - what is the appointment she made for you? You've done absolutely the right thing. Good luck

Anything over 12 and they consider you to be suffering PND max score is about 24. The appointment will probably be with your GP to discuss wether you need to see a councelor or wether ad's would be beneficial.

I hid my pnd with my 1st child and ended up in a right mess. Found HV a great source of help and support. You are not a bad mother we all need a bit of help sometimes.

You would be supprised to learn just how many of those cool collected mums sitting there waiting to go and see the HV are on ad's/in complete turmoil on the inside. We are taught that motherhood should come naturally to us and we are all quite shocked when it actually doesn't work out that way.

Good luck, take care and be kind to yourself.
