I know I'm not mentally unwell but what is it about me that makes me not tolerate people?

I have really low tolerance for people, mainly family.... My inlaws annoy the hell out of me and really there is nothing that bad about them, my mum annoys me and mainly as she always sits on the fence and over thinks everything....

I would guess you are tired, with a young baby and that combined with hormones is probable making inks worse. And with new baby maybe more contact with family etc, who may even with the best of intentions irritate.

Sleep is my answer for irritability!! Well most things feel better after decent rest I am finding.

Yeh I do feel the hardest thing about a new baby is the sleep deprivation and the constant 'something to do' I never stop!
But also I think I have anxiety about other peoples anxieties! If I was in the states i would prob Have a therapist to discuss it all with. Lol

Well you can pay for one here. If you pay you can have American style treatment as they pay for it.

You could ask for referral to the peri natal mental health team who offer treatment to mums with children under ge of 12-18 months I'd they have the right diagnosis/issues and struggling to care for family perhaps as another issue. They vary as to who they take on. It is free.

You can self refer for talking therapies but most offer 6-8 sessions, some do group sessions or online or cbt which does not sound what you want. Harder to get longer length of sessions as even people with long standing mental health problems have struggled for that or had to wait up to a year. But you can ask for that if you think it is worth asking for, just do not be disappointed if you do not qualify for free longer term treatment. Am not a dr so cannot say what you could get and each area varies and waiting lists vary. Those more at risk tend to be higher up lists but other people get seen very quickly in some areas.
