I eventually went to docs yesterday, been really suffering with depression. Is it possible the medication can result in side effects straight away? I'm feeling sick and no appetite today, however feeling better, clearer... I'm on 50 mg the lowest dose.. Anyone else share their experience please?

I have asked my colleague to go over everything with me before, she runs through it and then when she's away something goes wrong with the computer that she would know a way around and I don't know.

I don't get on very well with my boss, he doesn't take the time to listen to us, just expects us to get things sorted. He can barely use a computer so doesn't understand a lot of the job. Also we are a small team and I don't want to look as if I'm telling tales or speak bad about a colleague.

SoleSource · 29/05/2014 14:41

Hello

Glad you managed the phone call kazza

I had a good day so far Grin

kazzawazzawoo · 29/05/2014 14:42

Well, I've sat all day on the pc apart from cleaning bathrooms. I need to get out and walk the dog, but am waiting for dd to call and let me know when she wants collecting - which will probably be immediately when she calls!

Chuffchuff · 29/05/2014 14:48

Hm I have one like that too kazza.

Sounds like the problems you have at work are down to having a crap manager though unfortunately - not sure how you can deal with that one other than hoping he leaves! I suppose all you can do for now is just keep repeating the mantra that you are doing everything you can - and not get stressed about something that's not under your control. Easier said than done, I know.

kazzawazzawoo · 29/05/2014 15:13

I know. I just don't know how to stay calm when the boss needs a piece of work finishing urgently, the computers are playing up and the phones are ringing non stop!

kazzawazzawoo · 29/05/2014 18:29

Huge relief - dh got paid! Because he only started work on the 12th we weren't sure if he would be paid this month and we would have struggled without his pay, as his car goes back for the repairs tomorrow, plus his car tax is due tomorrow too. I'm so relieved!

SoleSource · 29/05/2014 19:06

Great news kazza

Grin

Feeling tired.

kazzawazzawoo · 29/05/2014 19:32

Feeling tired too. Got up so early this morning. How's your day been Sole?

bendyruler · 29/05/2014 23:05

Hi I've just found this thread I took my first tablet today 50mg and so it's been interesting reading about everyone's experiences. Hope u don't mind if I join in ? You all sound so supportive of each other ! And I haven't told anyone in RL

kazzawazzawoo · 29/05/2014 23:30

Hi Bendy Smile Of course you can join in. I hope you get on ok with sertraline.

bendyruler · 29/05/2014 23:38

Hi Kazza nice to meet you I feel fine today thanks just a nasty taste in my mouth. I don't know how to send you a smiley so sending a hug instead.

kazzawazzawoo · 30/05/2014 10:17

Glad you feel ok Bendy. I think a few of us had a funny taste or similar. If I remember correctly it passed quickly.

I haven't told anyone in RL apart from dh.

Chuffchuff · 30/05/2014 17:46

Hi bendy welcome to the thread Smile. I've told a couple of friends and DH - there aren't many people in RL I would trust not to be judgey...

Good news re pay kazza.

I'm feeling tired now but could be because I nearly fell asleep sunbathing in the garden this afternoon Blush

kazzawazzawoo · 30/05/2014 21:04

Does anyone use an app for dealing with anxiety and stress? I'm thinking of something I can use at work to remind me to calm down and breathe on a regular basis. Something with little breathing exercises or with inspirational sayings? Any ideas?

Chuffchuff · 30/05/2014 21:26

I've tried a few - there's a mindfulness one that's good - called headspace - and I also have a breathing one called breathe to relax - you set your own timings for breathing in and out, I set it to breathing in for 7 then out for 11 because I read somewhere that's a good breathing rhythm for relaxing for some reason! They're both good and were free.

kazzawazzawoo · 30/05/2014 21:28

Thanks Chuffchuff I'll have a look at those. I think I need something to remind me to pause at regular intervals and also to remind me not to get stressed.

bendyruler · 31/05/2014 14:37

Hi chuff and kazza hope you are feeling ok today?

Chuffchuff · 31/05/2014 14:51

Hi bendy yes I'm good thanks. How are you? Still escaping side effects?

kazzawazzawoo · 31/05/2014 16:18

Hi everyone Smile How are you all? I'm good, enjoyed my time off and feeling quite relaxed at the moment Smile

Bendy how are you feeling?

bendyruler · 31/05/2014 17:37

Hi everyone just back from walking the dog which was fine I even spoke to a couple of people .... I'm feeling a bit headachey and bit wired but not too bad and sleeping fine thanks I was hoping I would lose my appetite but no such luck! I could do with loosing the odd stone or two hahaha it's my third day glad you feel relaxed kazza a it's a lovely feeling when it happens isn't it?

SoleSource · 31/05/2014 18:13

Hello peeps

My sleeping pattern is awful, felt down last night, had negative chat with online friend, telling me my disabled Son is a burden, she thinks she knows it all.

Not nice.

Worrying our new Motability car might be stolen as we had one nicked in 2008, deliberately chose small cars ater that, this time a more attractive car as the one was in 2008.

Fingers crossed, will get CCTV etc and wheel lock.

Living alone at times like this makes me feel vulnerable.

Need to get new prescription, will run out by Tuesday.

Dwerf · 01/06/2014 00:47

Apparently pink and yellow cars are the least stolen.

I've had my granddaughter over for two days, no need of sleeping tablets after fifteen hours with a two year old. Blimey, the energy they have!

I'm a single parent too Sole, I know what you mean about feeling vulnerable xx

kazzawazzawoo · 01/06/2014 16:11

Our neighbour has put a note through the door asking for my insurance details as he's back at work tomorrow and it's a work van.

I'm petrified Sad Sad Sad I'll have an excess to pay and I guess my insurance will go up. I've never had an accident before so I don't know what happens Confused Hmm Will they want lots of information about how it happened? Am I going to get into trouble?

We are in such a financial mess, I just can't afford this Sad I am such a careful driver usually, I can't believe this happened Sad Sad

SoleSource · 01/06/2014 17:31

Phone your insurance, tell them what happened, put note through door with your insurance details. You won't get into trouble but your insurance might go up. How much is your excess?

kazzawazzawoo · 01/06/2014 17:39

The paperwork says voluntary excess od £100 but not compulsory excess.

Thanks, will do.
