If something is wrong with you, or you think something is, do you notice things in the media regarding it? For example, I have a 6 month check up next week after having treatment on my cervix and all I notice are articles about cervical cancer. I feel like I'm being told something. Also when I was pregnant I noticed horror stories which I just avoided. Anyone else feel this way?

That's pretty normal, when you're feeling anxious about something, I think.

But I don't think you are being told something. You are just in a heightened state of awareness because you are nervous about your check up.

By the way, the treatment you have had is routine and will have been successful. I've got a surgical procedure next week which I am nervous about but positive about too, because it is part of moving things on.

Thanks, domoarigato. It's a gynae procedure, too. We can metaphorically hold each other's hands. Smile
