I didn't particularly want to come off these, but due to (yet another) new doctor who wouldn't prescribe without a meaningless appointment, which I couldn't get!!! have come off totally -

Went through 3 weeks of sweats, head ' shocks' and crying - still feel slightly that way, but starting to feel 'low' -

Possibly doesn't help i've just been through a breakup, along with alot of other testing things, but i do not want to go back onto tablets, not when ive just had such a hard time getting off, and I also think they have actually stopped me from asking for help in what was my initial problem -

What worries me right now is i've started to cry again, over things I haven't cried about in a while -

Oopsadaisy, I am on these and let me congratulate you on actually managing to come off them. I have tried a few times and not succeeded. However, I am worried that you have come off them for the wrong reason, ie. not being able to get an appointment. I know doctors can be frustrating, but if you have started crying again maybe you need to go and speak to your GP. They may be able to arrange counselling and if necessary, maybe you could consider other anti-depressants rather than go on these again. I have a love/hate relationship with my AD's, but have finally accepted that I need them. Please don't suffer on your own.

I also don't think you should have just stopped taking the meds because you couldn't get a GP appointment. When stopping ADs it needs to be done gradually and with oversight of a GP to ensure that your symptoms are not returning. And it does sound like your symptoms are coming back as you mention crying bouts, which is a symptom of depression as you probably know.

I'm not sure what you mean by the meds having stopped you asking for help, in what was your initial problem.

I really think you need to get a GP appt (and I know how difficult it can be these days to get an appointment) and re-start the ADs again, at least until you are on an even keel again, and then reduce them very gradually.

I know how annoying is get appointment

I came off venlafaxine 10 years ago ad you need to gradually cut back not just stop as withdrawals pretty bad ad consider other options with gp consider other options.

could be counselling/cbt
other drugs.

dont struggle on alone

be kind to yourself,

if you know what original problem is and what triggers it maybe easier for gp to diagnose and get correct treatment for you .

I don't know about others but a good cry always helped me though I haven't cried for a month now!

Coming off ad's is hard & not a good idea to go cold turkey.

I would go back to the g.p at the first opportunity & talk it through properly. I'm afraid things will just continue getting worse!

In the meantime keep ur self distracted maybe by watching movies etc. hope this helps & keep posting :)
