A friend of mine is struggling with DID. She is finding it hard to leave her house as often goes into a fugue, falls, then has to cope with many Alters.

Does anyone know anyone who has overcome this? How many years counselling? Do the alters ever go away, or do you just have to manage them? Does the daily falling/zoning out get better?

Thanks

I do not know anyone with this but know the Pottergate Centre run by Remy ( forget rest of name) is excellent and accepts NHS referrals and provides long term treatments on NHS as well as private. In Norwich.

Thanks for replying.

Unfortunately, Norwich is too far North. She is having counselling and has a CPN etc, I was just hoping to find some "good news" stories to cheer her up.

Yes, as part of my BPD therapy, the DID went away and I've not taken AP's for years.
