Can anyone help me with ocd mediation for bf, cosleeping and ttc?

I've been prescribed paroxetine for ocd / anxiety, but I'm worried (haha, of course I am Smile ) that its not the right one for me, and although I need something I really don'twant to take it. I'm breastfeeding, and also trying to get pregnant again. I'm also co-sleeping with my 1yo dd and need something that won't make me so sleepy that I roll over on her, or don't wake if she cries.
Instructions for this one sound ok-ish for breastfeeding, although I'd like something to be completely safe. Sounds like its a bad idea for pregnancy, and I'm not sure about whether it makes you mega-tired.
Does anyone have any experience / suggestions I can take back to the GP?

Hmm, I decided not to take any antidepressants through preg and breast feeding. - the drugs are too new, not properly trialled in this area, and I couldn't do it.

BUT if I did it again, I would prob get my second baby onto formula after a few days of colustrum, and start antidepressant medication straight away after. I persevered with breast feeding, and I was very low.

I would still rather not have breasted than given my baby antidepressants in the milk (i was having beta blockers for post pre-eclampsia)

I was on sertraline 100mg through ttc and a year's bfing. Declined higher dose while bfing as aftter 100mg it is in milk. Came off ads mid pregnancy as risk of pphn a rare lung condition slightly elevated if taking after 20 weeks.

Sertraline is used for OCD and is safe in pregnancy. I haven't found it makes me sleep more heavily.

I get what candy is saying about the risks of anti-depressants, but those have to be balanced against the risk of experiencing depression/high anxiety during pregnancy - which have been shown to be harmful to the developing fetus because the chemicals pass through and affect their brain development. So it's really a balancing act between different risks.
