ah, it is some places in UK right now

so, good things you've done today, you've made a phone call, made the DCs some sarnies and switched on the computer.

is there any practical help you can call in? a neighbour who can help with the school run? someone who can mind the DCs while you go for a walk/run for 15 mins to clear your head? a friend who can bring Cake?

Crawling · 22/10/2013 13:11

No there is no one who can help today as my sister is in hospital and my mum is with her and my friend doesn't drive and can't get to my house. I don't really know my neighbours.

The on duty officer rang she is going to ring back now.

Good to hear you're talking to a friend and that the kids are settled.

Not so great about your DD - are there no suitable school places? We looked long and hard about getting DS into a special school, but the nearest to us for Autism is a 40 min drive away and I'm not sure how that would work - its also bloody hard to get them in.

I don't know my neighbours either. They're not really people to tell stuff to anyway. This is the joy of MN. Instant people! :)

Have you had your visit / call yet?

Crawling · 22/10/2013 13:53

Yeah I've had a call she is going to ring back soon. I don't know when though. Hope it will be soon.

Glad your friend was able to tak to you. How is every thing now?

GrippingArms · 22/10/2013 14:00

i don't know mine either, it was a grasp at straws really Blush

well, i do, but the one i know most is in his 80s, not great for dragging DDs scooter up to school and trying to keep up with her as she whizzes past buggies and toddlers Confused

have you had any sandwiches, OP?

Crawling · 22/10/2013 14:05

Thank you all no I have not had any sandwiches I don't feel like eating. I'm still feeling very suicidal.

OP posts:
GrippingArms · 22/10/2013 14:16

you must try to eat something, blood sugar can affect your mood too

even a piece of fruit

GrippingArms · 22/10/2013 14:27

sorry, bit 'school-marmy- there Blush

should eat something

what are the DCs watching? anything good?

Crawling · 22/10/2013 14:31

They are now watching Dora the explorer on net flix. She called she told me to make a appointment with my gp and they will move my appointment forward. If I feel suicidal in the mean time I'm to contact crisis.

OP posts:
GrippingArms · 22/10/2013 14:36

DD loves Dora, and netflix is a godsend isn't it Grin

have you made the appt with your GP yet?

i take it you have to do this to broach the confidentiality part

Crawling · 22/10/2013 14:46

I have made the appointment for 4:30 as a extra. Net flix is certainly a godsend.

OP posts:
GrippingArms · 22/10/2013 14:55

school run now, Crawling so have to pop out

well done for making the appt, if you get the chance (of have the inclination even, no pressure) come back and we'll talk more shite Grin

{sneaky hug}

Hi Crawling - I have some CPCAB counselling training if you need any further help. It is not a substitute for staying in touch with the services in your area; but it may help in the meantime. I think you are doing a good job reaching out and trying to put your kids first/ keeping yourself occupied. This shows great resilience, determination and openness. I hope to be back on again between 7 and 8pm if you need anything....

Crawling · 22/10/2013 15:49

Thanks johflow it means alot. I feel a little better now but I'm still gonna go to the GPS.

OP posts:
JohFlow · 22/10/2013 15:55

Glad things are better for now. I will still be on between those times anyway. Just drop a line if you need anything later.

DiaryOfAWimpyMum · 22/10/2013 16:10

Hope you feel a bit better soon Crawling and your GP is helpful

HoopHopes · 22/10/2013 19:19

Hi, can you tell your gp and duty worker you were not well enough today to get your child to school? Then they may be able to get you some practical daily support to help you with your children and getting them to school. If they do not know you will just stay on a list and not receive the right help or enough help.

lostmommy · 22/10/2013 19:55
