Forgot ADs for 1 day, am I imagining horrible stuff coming back?

Just a quick one, forgot my ADs on Tues eve, felt a bit off yesterday and had a lot more 'thoughts' again, they were quite jumbled and all over the place and I felt anxious too. Also, today my motivation is zero and I'm almost dreading going out food shopping (this has been better recently)

Didn't realise had forgotten the tablet till last night - am now wondering if the helpful effects can wear off so quickly??

TIA (every time I put that now - think of the poster who thought a person called Tia posted a lot!)

I don't think so Vulva, how long have you been on them. I have been on them for 2 years and I know on the odd day I have missed them I didn't notice a difference.

Thanks for replying Sparkling, I've been on them about 2 months and have noticed an improvement for about 6 weeks. Wondering if I need a higher dose already?

Possibly. Which ones are you on?

VulvaVoom · 26/09/2013 10:12

Citalopram, 20mg I think

Exactly the same as me. It has been a godsend. Glad it's working for you. I did go up to 40mg at one point, but I am back at 20mg now.

Do have a chat with your GP is you think you are having doubts the dose is right though.

It has honestly made the biggest difference to my life, glad it's worked for you too. I have an 11 month old DD and I can now be the Mum I want to, I even laugh and genuinely feel jolly sometimes!

That's why I'm a bit scared about the odd feelings I'm having. Got docs next week, will discuss with her then - she's lovely, newly qualified, caring and enthusiastic, it's always nice when you find a good one.

I have got so brave Vulva. I will drive round any city centre without batting an eyelid now-an unexpected side effect!

My GP says that Citalopram takes the 'rough edges' of your anxiety/depression and makes you able to cope-and it does.

I had to go up a dose as I was feeling anxious in the morning but felt better by the evening IYKWIM.

Sparking me too. I don't like driving and used to feel anxious on the most basic of journeys (think dual carriage way, having to change lanes etc - eek!) but now I'll just do it without fretting.

It's also made me more proactive and motivated, if I have a spare minute, I might clean out the fridge or put some washing away, I thought I was just lazy!

I mean Sparkling sorry!

Don't worry. Someone called me Sprinkling today. Grin
