I have been suffering from ASD for eight years now and sometimes feel very depressed and anxious but my newborn daughter brightens up my day. I didn't think that this would ever happen to me Smile

My pony :) She's ancient and a complete PITA, but I adore her.

I am hoping my baby (due in a few weeks) will have the same affect as yours does :)

Two things, a cuddle with next doors cat, and seeing my cousins 2 year old daughter. Seeing the world through her eyes always amazes me, she notices things around her that most adults take for granted.

Ah, that's sweet.
Listening to a good song or piece of music cheers me up and chills me out.
Currently listening to Jarvis Cockers Sunday service - very chilled music.

Before putting music on I was pacing around and worrying about work (in between Mnetting) Why didn't I think of it sooner?

My 3 year old comes out with some random observations and very funny questions.

Nice thread OP :-) except first I was a bit taken aback to read "suffering for 8 years now".....are you eight years old? Wink all these acronyms

nothing really brightens up the day but I do feel a bit better after a bath.

I had a bit of really good news on Saturday and that was a small lightup moment Smile so I guess nice surprises still have some effect....

Also new books, which I know I will like. Non fiction usually about specific topics. Not vague stuff I'm taking a chance on. It's relaxing :-)

I also know some lovely people who are always friendly and cheerful and attentive and they distract me.

The other day we stood, watched and listened to the rain running down the side of the road into a drain, then we did the same with the next drain and it sounded different. When it was very frosty we marvelled at the frost on the edges of leaves and how they melted when she held them.
It is a two edged sword though, when I think about her maybe having to move away and when she goes to school and I wont see her so much .... I feel very sad Sad
