Go on the BACP website "British Association of Counsellors and Therapists" and you will find some listed in your area. The thing about this site is that only professionally trained people can get registration with BACP. Most therapists on the site will say what kind of therapy they do and also their area of expertise. Are you sure you want a CBT therapist. I think most therapist will deal with severe anxiety and panic attacks, as it is quite a common mental illness though horrid of course, as all mental illnesses are in my view.

Do you not want to take meds. I know people have different opinions on this, it's just that there are some good meds for your condition, but as you probably know it is all "trial and error" with meds until you find the right one to suit you.

The best place to look for a properly qualified CBT therapist is on the BABCP or AREBT websites. These are the professional bodies for academically trained, accredited therapists who specialise in Cognitive Therapies such as CBT and REBT and who, in order to remain accredited must continue to train and to receive clinical supervision (I am an RECBT therapist so I'm speaking from experience). They will also be trained to deal with many major psychological disorders. I believe there is now an organisation called CBT UK which is an umbrella organisation for the two bodies representing the two types of cognitive therapy. The BACP is great but not specifically CBT/REBT. Best of luck.
