Have been on 15 mg two weeks, then upped to 30 just over 2 weeks ago.

I don't feel like I am taking anything. Still have mild anxiety, feel sort of flat and grumpy. No noticeable moodlift as yet, but don't feel terrible either.

No big side effects, but tbh I am wondering if there is any effect. Doesn't feel like any other ad I've been on. The sort of cushion effect isn't there. This is what worries me more than anything.

AM on them for anxiety.

It was FANTASTIC! Out of the 10 (I kid you not) I have taken, this one left the rest standing.

Felt so calm, and so so happy. Like I had golden and pink lights in my head all the time. Nothing bothered me or troubled me. Was nice to everyone (DH refers to it as my Golden Era Hmm)

I was on 100mg, BUT it is meant to be the most potent AD there is, so you may only need a small dose. It gave me a bit of constipation at first, and some shakiness, but that all went. It was a lovely drug Smile

I don't know why it isn't used more widely. Consultant told me it was her favourite drug as it had such a profound impact on people. It is mainly used for OCD these days. What are you on it for?

100-150mg is the therapeutic dose of chlomip. Ocd is higher I think

anxiety and depression (ongoing after original pnd 12 years ago - no probs before that.)

I went through a whole range of ads until ended up on seroxat/paroxetine which worked fine in the end but i could never withdraw from it - and then after i tried for last time i just didnt seem able to take anymore.

been on varying doses of clomipramine since 2006. Basically ok for a couple of years drop dose slowly and then relapse Confused - although havent reduced at all at the moment and having a difficult couple of weeks - so dont know whats happening there.

It does seem from my experience, and talking to others, that an AD will work twice, then the next time you try and take it, it just scrambles your brain, or doesn't work.

How do you find clomip?
