Does it really help?
My dd is 4months old, and ive been suffering with SPD since 18weeks into the gestation period. I feel like a prisioner in my own house, in severe pain constantly, on tablets which makes me feel sick (but need them for the pain). Saw the doctor a week ago, and he seemed to think i am suffering with mild depression. I know theres a chance, my moods change more than the weather, im tearful, i want to go out, but i cant. doctor told me to try St Johns Wart, he said its perfect for mild depression. I didnt want to take it, feel like im letting everyone down by admitting ive got a problem. Im totally fine towards my two children.
Can St Johns wart help me?

I have heard that it is very good but can make you feel sleepy but it dose help. Why not give it a try if it make you feel better?

It can also interfere with the effectiveness of the contraceptive pill so if you are using it and don't want another one (and hey, assuming you might be having sex ), it might not be the best thing for you.

It can help with mild to moderate depression, but it takes a long while to kick in - longer than ads do. The tincture (liquid) is faster acting than the tablets are.

You are not letting anyone down by admitting you have a problem; you would, however, be letting yourself down by pretending that everything's OK when it's not.

i have just bought some of this and am planning to start taking it monday, i didnt waqnt to go down the ad route just yet so thought these might help. Good luck and congrats on your dd

Just a thought - is there no other pain killer you could try? It would depress me to have to feel sick by trying to relieve something else. That can't help, surely?

I can't better WWB's sentiments in respect to letting anyone down - so succinctly put. It's sometimes difficult to believe it when you are down, but it is true.

could your doctor refer you to some sort of pain specialist to help how you cope with the pain? sounds very depressing having that level of pain.
