nightmare.
do you have a partner coming home to give you a break? can you park her in front of cbeebies for a bit? have you wine?

Arcadia · 01/02/2011 17:31

He;ll be home any minute but no guarantee he'll be in a good mood either. He judges me if I put telly on for her.
I hate feeling like this. I should enjoy being a mum. Sometimes I just hate it and the person I become when I'm with her. I get so angry and feel like I can't bear being around her sometimes.

My 20 month old is the same. Not only is she under the weather (either coming down with the bad cold the other DC have had or teething or something else) but she has also just started to have proper tantrums about everything and keeps scratching and whacking everybody to test the reaction.

Had to depart the park early as she screamed so much nobody could talk over her.

You have my full sympathy. Can you get away from her soon? There is no shame in admitting you feel the need to, honestly. I have 4 of the blighters and am glad that 3 of them can go off to the park sans me at times.

Don't worry about a bit of ceebeebies. It can be a life saver at times. Especially when you're trying to make the dinner or whatever.

Do you go to any groups or anything? I find that structure to the week helps a lot and going out the house fills the time and distracts them.

Is your HV good and do you think could talk to them? They might be able to help.

thanks besom but I've been out all day at a family centre and we had a nice time but it's the time at home that I find really difficult sometimes. There is no avoiding it.
Have just tried to feed her and she's being impossible so I've left her in her chair til DP gets home then I'm going out for a walk - I need to get out of this house.
