What do you do, for how long and how often. I'm out everyday and walk whenever I can (use my car 3 days a week when working)but otherwise always try to walk everywhere. I think I need to do something a bit more vigorous, any ideas ??

Walking is actually one of the best mood boosting forms of exercise so dont knock it.

I cycle everywhere (including 5 miles each way to work)and that really calms me down and gives me time to ponder things.

If you are up for running, it releases a lot of feel-good hormones.

I second the 'more vigorous' idea. I tried taking up yoga to help with high bp and anxiety, but I found it stressed me out! I have found running to be the best - and I was seriously unfit and had hated running at school. Did my first 10k in September, and I start to feel those anxious thoughts coming back whenever I don't run for a while. HTH.

Running works for me too but unfortunately I have an injury (achilles tendonitis) Won't be able to run for quite a while:(

I need to find something else that will help. Even walking is painful atm.
