Some of you may know that for my med megligence case I had to have an independent psych review and this took place in December.
It was an awful experience and at the end of it, he said I was still clearly sick with PTSD and that he thought I should try medication.
I was asked lots of questions like have you had and problems previously and have you ever seen a psych before and I answered no.

However Ive just seen the report and he said i 'didnt seem particularly distressed during the interview' when on the day he said 'youve cried for the whole hour'! He has also noted that when I was 18 I went to see GP for antidepressents (i dont remebre this its almost 20 years ago) and also that I suffered PTSD like symptoms after the death of ex's brother (I dont remember this either, at the time I was just told it was an abnormal grief reaction). He also notes I have seen a psych and I barely remember this or what it was for, but all the dates correspond with a very abusive relationship I was in at the time.

Im dreading speaking to the solictor now as it looks like ive lied and doesnt paint me in a very good light does it?

He also notes several changes of GP's but each one was because I moved house, so nothing to cover up there.

Ok, but having previously suffered from mental health problems and having had more 'minor' (don't want to belittle how you felt at the time at all) reactions before shouldn't interfere with your negligence case though?

I don't think it looks like you lied at all - it just sounds like a more comprehensive report iyswim.

thanks laurie thats positive to hear. I think we're trying to prove that their medical negligence (which has been upheld by an independent review) caused me to have PTSD, which he acknowledged in the report.

I just feel it makes me look like I covered stuff up. But I cant remember what I went to the GP for last month never mind 18 years ago Hmm. All that stuff with ex stays in the past, its a whole other lifetime ago

Ok, as a counsellor I'm used to reading psych reports and I would never expect clients to remember all contacts with a doctor.

I'm hoping because they are even more 'medical' people than me that they would just read it as an unbiased account.

there is so much stigma among lay people I can see how a person in the street would think something more sinister about the report.

I really hope you have nothing to worry about Smile and I've read your previous posts on the trauma and thought what happened to you was dreadful. I hope you 'win' soooooo much.

I tihnk it's normal to have stuff in the past - I also think it's better for you/your solicitor that it's noted now, rather than becoming a big point to fight over iyswim? (but I'm no solicitor).

one of his points state

'i do not know why she witheld this information' Angry

I guess I will just have to talk it over with the solicitor, I am not signing the 'I agree with report' bit until we discuss it.
Dont you really think it makes me sound bad?

Thanks laurie it was all going very well before this, the medical report was excellent saying they were negligent, but Im not sure if it will all fall apart with this, although he does say I am suffering PTSD and need treatment.
