Well that's the third consultant that's repeated to me that upto 15% of men get long term pain following a vasectomy.

He also said the more surgery that goes on down there, the worse it gets. Basically even just snipping the vas causes scar tissue build up in the testicle, and it's what leads to pain that can develop after surgery, or years later.

As I've now had two surgeries on one of my balls, he said that even removing it is likely to cause pain, so you'll be a bollock down and in the same situation.

Mentioned about having the spermatic cord severed, but he said that was very risky due to the blood supply. A testicle has 3 blood supplies, the spermatic cord, the vas and another blood vessel. Seeing as the GP severed 1 blood vessel and my vas is also cut, I just have the one supply now.

Going to try and see if a nerve block will work - more injections into my nether regions.

It's really not worth the risks folks. I'm nose diving into depression and my GP thinks the whole thing is a joke.

Just don't do it.
