Can anyone recommend what to look for when buying ski goggles?

Could really do with some advice here as I have no idea what to look, there seems to be so much out there and so much variation on price!

I don;t want to pay £80 or £100 for them, I need them to be affordable lol

Thanks

Most important thing: They must hug your face and not move at all when you bend, jump, etc.

Their glasses should be very dark, as the sun (and especially its reflection on snow) can be very bright.

I am guessing you are a beginner at ski, so expect to fall & get snow in your face rather often

In all, I would recommend buying one of those cheapo mask-like ski goggles with elastic bands to go behind your head. They also keep the hair in place, which is a plus.

We got some from Lidl when they were doing ski stuff as a special. They seem to be fine, but I am only a beginner. They were £9.99.

make sure they are double lenses (like double glazing!) else they will freeze over in very cold weather and mist over in normal as you sweat!

Lens needs to be medium as too dark and you won't be able to see in dull weather. Bolle are a good make - mine have citrus lens (as do DH and DS) and they've been fantastic (used them for 8+ years)

Ah, I forgot to say - When you buy a "mask", make sure it has a 'ventilation' system - i.e. several holes at the top. Otherwise, you won't see anything from the fog/condensation on the inside of your goggles.

Wow great advice thanks!

Cote they're not for me (sadly I am not going skiing) they're for my BF and yes he's a relative beginner so will be getting snow in his face

Sparkle we did find some good bolle ones reduced online, may make sure they fit all the requirements and order them...
