I have to DSs, 3.5 and 10months. DS21 obviously still being carried everywhere and DS1 constantly hanging off my arms etc.

My back aches permanently, I've pulled muscles in my shoulders from the carrying, I'm tired all the time and feel like one of those edwardian mothers in D.H.Lawrence novels.

I really want to get fit just so I don't feel so physically exhausted all the time. I joined a gym so that I could go swimming but never seem to have the time to go (Espcially as I've gone back to work).

I've done yoga and pilates in the past but I find them too hard - I'm so inflexible and it just hurts!

How do people find the time to exercise with 2 small children? I walk the school run twice daily but that is about it.

What exercises can I do to stretch my back out and make me feel less like a pensioner?

Help!

is there anything you can do with ur eldest ds? My son loves copying me so we often do some stretches n star jumps together. Try picking up ur youngest differently to normal as i just to get a pain down one of my shoulders and the only way to relive this was to hold my son different til it had chance to rest.

I havent been to the gym in a long time but when i use to work i use to go straight from work, i had to do this because once i got sat down i couldnt motivate myself again. Is there anyway your childcare you have your dc's for a little longer to give u time to go to the gym for a hour after work?

I did originally think that I could get to the gym after work but by the time I got there, I would only have half an hour before I had to get back so it didn't seem worth it really.

Definitely need to pick up baby differently though.

Might try some star jumps

Have you tried a hippychick hip seat for DS2 - they are wonderful for taking most of the weight onto your hips rather than back

My gym has a creche so i use that on my non working days and at the weekends - then we take the DD's swimming after we have had some time in the gym. Also how about a Wii fit that DS1 can join in with? I also have an exercise bike and used that today whilst the DD's were sleeping, or i can jump on in the evening after bed time
