Running shoes

Okey dokey i am in the market for some shoes, preferably ones that will make me fly like the wind

I went to a lovely sports shop who checked my feet and what i want them for. Tried on pairs with support/cushioning/arch support.

The chap was really lovely and explained that i overpronate, with slightly flat feet. As i am a big wide foot (7) we settled on the Saucony as it was lovely and squishy with arch support.

Unfortunately they only have the £84 shoe and not the £60 version, which is not quite so posh.

Now i know that good shoes can be expensive, but even he agreed that £84 for 5km runs was probably overkill. So what do i do now?

We are rural so no more proper shops, only chain brands or the internet.

I have seen nearly the same shoe in mens. Are they the same size? Does it matter?

Any help as this is driving me potty !!!!

The fit on the men's won't be the same, but as you know the brand and style you need, you should be able to find them on-line. Or can he order the £60 ones for you?

I love Saucony shoes too, the last ones I bought only cost £34 though! Often last year's colour is very reduced.

Agree with sameagain - try online now you know which shoe you want. Last year colours (I mean - who cares?) are usually loads cheaper.
I've bought fromhere in the past.
